Russian state artists Timur Sazhin and Lidia Fomina, whose works have been exhibited at venues including the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg and the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, were commissioned with the design of the decorative lighting on occasion of the renovation of the gallery.

On the basis of these designs, Kalmar developed and manufactured more than 250 suspended, ceiling, wall and floor luminaires.
