Built between 1840 and 1852 by Leo Klenze, the court master builder of Ludwig I, the Hermitage today has one of the world’s most important art collections and houses an oriental department as well as several collections relating to the history of civilization. Kalmar was involved in producing more than 80 lanterns of this type from original drawings of this famous museum.
