Kalmar designed this bespoke chandelier for a private villa in the UK. The goal was to switch from halogen lamps to LED but in order to do this the LED dots could not be distinguishable. This led to the core column being fitted with full-cut, 30% PbO crystals that sufficiently dispersed the light.

To enhance the column’s visual impact, a second mantle was designed with alternating full-cut optical prisms to see the octagons in the empty spaces between the rows of prisms. Juxtaposing the prisms with the octagons provide the column with this striking look.
