The design brief for this project was to create a glass sculpture above two large skylights in the ceiling making a bold statement in the lobby of this landmark building in Doha.

Underneath were square, shallow tiled basins with small fountains. Through sunlight by day and projectors for artificial light at night, this large sculpture with a diameter of 2570mm is always illuminated. The glass and abstract shape were chosen as references to water and cool temperatures which were well appreciated references to a desert nation.
